Good child day care offers equal opportunities for all children. So far, however, not all families have benefited equally from child day care as a form of early education. In April 2017, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth launched the federal programme “Kita-Einsieg: Brücken bauen in frühe Bildung” (Kita Entry: Building Bridges in Early Education), which focuses on this target group. The Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege Hamburg e.V. (Working Group of the Freie Wohlfahrtspflege Hamburg e.V.) (AGFW) is the sponsor of the Hamburg-wide project and operates the Kita-Einstieg Hamburg coordination and network office. “Kita-Einstieg” is a joint project of the Kita providers in Hamburg and the Department of Labour, Social Affairs, Family and Integration (BASFI).

Kita-Einstieg Hamburg as a regional partner in the field of child day care should make the project known to all providers and network the interest groups.
